Housing Associations
There are 11 housing associations which have housing in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp. Four of these associations operate only or mainly in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp, and are members of the ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp Common Housing Register. This means that they are working jointly to make it easier for people to apply for housing in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp:
: is the largest Housing Association in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp. Most properties are general needs homes, but the Association also has sheltered and amenity houses for older people.
: has properties in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. Again most are general needs homes, but there are also a small number of sheltered, amenity and wheelchair accessible properties in the Helensburgh area.
: is the second largest Housing Association in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp. It has properties in Mid Argyll, the Cowal and Kintyre Peninsulas and on the Isle of Bute.
: the Association has properties in the northern areas of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp and many in the Argyll islands. The majority of properties are in Oban and the Isle of Mull.
Other housing associations operate across Scotland, and have some properties in ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp. These organisations all specialise in providing supported housing – for example for older people, specially adapted housing for people with disabilities, or supported housing for people with learning difficulties.
