The Environment, Development and Infrastructure committee, of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵapp Council, agreed on Thursday (June 20) to write to the Scottish Government to secure financial support which will enable the council to comply with the upcoming Biodegradable Municipal Waste (BMW) ban.

Reducing the amount of domestic waste that goes to landfill, through promoting reduce, re-use and recycling, remains a key commitment for the council, to help save money, protect services and support climate-friendly measures.
